Mr. Kaloustian's international human rights expertise includes the human right to food, rights-based development, police abuse/torture and freedom of expression. Jeffrey's human rights journey includes field work India (Bangalore, Dharamsala, Bihar), Nepal (Kathamndu Valley), Dominican Republic and Haiti. Over the years he has collaborated with the South India Cell for Human Rights Education and Monitoring (SICHREM), the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH), the Huairou Commission, Human Rights Advocates and the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy. At the 10th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland (March 2009) , Jeffrey highlighted the human rights abuses associated with an alarming and growing trend in international land-grabbing.
